Lockie Ferguson, the New Zealand and Royal Challengers Bengaluru quick, who played the first season of the Major League Cricket (MLC) for Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) in 2023 has made a move to the Washington-based side, Washington Freedom (WF) for season two.

The second season of the MLC is set to begin on July 5 after the finish of the ongoing T20 World Cup and on Saturday, July 8, it was made official by the MLC social media that the super-fast Kiwi will be playing for the Washington Freedom.

In the inaugural edition of the Major League, Ferguson played two matches for the Los Angeles side where he picked 3 wickets at an economy rate of 7.50.

WF will be kick starting their fresh season of the tournament in match 3 on July 6 at the Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina against the defending champions MI New York.

This year's MLC, unlike the 15 league games will be having 21 games in the round followed four playoffs at the Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas.
