In the first ODI between India and Sri Lanka at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, the Men in Blue are in control against the Island Nation. 

The bowlers have been scintillating as they restricted the Lankans to 157/6 after 39 overs. Meanwhile, for the first game, Gautam Gambhir left out Rishabh Pant, Riyan Parag, and Harshit Rana on the bench and preferred KL Rahul, Shivam Dube and Washinton Sundar. 

So far, Dube has picked up a wicket, and so has Sundar. Meanwhile, the fans took to Twitter to react to Parag being left on the bench.

Notably, Parag played all three games in the T20I series but failed to get a chance in the ODI. 

Meanwhile, a section of the fans slammed the management for leaving Parag on the bench, while a few also mocked him over his recent comments. When Parag was not considered for the T20 World Cup 2024, he remarked that he would not be watching the tournament as he was not playing in it. 

Thus, the fans poked fun at him by stating that Parag is now forced to watch a game in which he is not a part. Here are some of the reactions.
