The exciting season is coming back in India as IPL 2025 is commencing within a few days. All the teams are preparing hard to have a successful season. Before stepping into a new season, Chennai Super Kings has witnessed a nostalgic homecoming.

After years, Ravichandran Ashwin has come back to the yellow army and set to have another successful stint with the franchise. The spin maestro has already hit the nets and shared a nostalgic post on social media donning the CSK jersey.

Ashwin’s Nostalgia Reflected In Social Media Post

In the Indian cricket, Ravichandran Ashwin is a legend. Over the years, he has been a pillar of strength for the Indian side and announced his retirement from international cricket last year. But this year’s IPL will be a little special for spinner as he returns to Chennai Super Kings after a decade.

After a glorious seven-year stint with CSK before departing after 2015, Ravichandran Ashwin is all set for his grand return. As the spinner has already started practicing hard for the upcoming season, dropped an emotional post on social media.

After posting a picture in Chennai Super Kings’ jersey, Ashwin wrote, “Nostalgia is a friend that stays with you forever.” His post immediately connected with fans.


Ashwin’s IPL Dominance

Just not in the international stage, Ravichandran Ashwin has showcased his domination even in the IPL stage. After making debut in 2009, he played 212 matches scored 800 runs with an average of 13.33. Showcasing his bowling excellence, he also secured 180 wickets with an economy rate of 7.12 along with one four wicket haul.

As the IPL 2025 is commencing on March 22, Chennai Super Kings will play their first match against Mumbai Indians in March 2023. As Ashwin is set to start another stint with the franchise, fans are anticipating to see prime Ashwin conquering on the Chennai pitch again.
