Batting first, Australia mounted 431-2 with each of their top three batters, namely Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh and Cameron Green plundering hundreds to become only the fifth batting trio to tonk centuries in a single ODI innings. Green even slapped the second fastest ODI ton by any Australian batter, reaching the feat in just 47 balls.
Moreover, Cooper Connolly snared figures of 5-22 to record the best ODI figures by any Australian spinner in history. He also became the youngest Australian bowler overall to pick up five wickets in an innings.

Indian batting barnacle Cheteshwar Pujara announced his inevitable retirement from “all forms of Indian cricket”. The development occurred shortly after the Indian government proposed a bill regarding the promotion and regulation of online gaming. As per NDTV, Dream11 will unlikely sponsor India in the upcoming 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup and beyond, prompting the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to invite fresh bids for India's sponsorship rights.
