PCB Increases Budget For Women's Cricket To 240 Million; Gives A Massive 242% Hike For 2024-25

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), who recently met to approve the budgets for the 2024-25 season, has given a massive boost to their budget for the national women's cricket, increasing it from PKR 70 million to PKR 240 million.

PCB president Mohsin Naqvi met the board of governors to allocate the budgets for the big upcoming season for Pakistan cricket where they are scheduled to host Bangladesh, England, and the West Indies ahead of the tri-series with New Zealand and South Africa. They will also tour Australia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe during the 2024-25 season.

Alongside the main agenda of budget allocation for the upgradation of stadiums and facilities ahead of the Champions Trophy which is the first major ICC event to happen in the country since 1996, the board has also given an enormous 242.86% raise to the budget for Pakistan women's cricket i.e., PKR 70 million (7 crores) to PKR 240 million (24 crores).

In the upcoming months, the Pakistan women's side is scheduled to play the upcoming Asia Cup starting from July 19 followed by the Women's T20 World Cup in Bangladesh which starts in October.
