Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed was seen practising diligently in the nets ahead of the Test series against Bangladesh. A video of Sarfaraz working hard and focusing on his weaknesses has been circulating on the internet, that highlight his dedication to the upcoming matches.

In preparation for the Champions Trophy 2025, Pakistan will host a historic ODI tri-series featuring South Africa and New Zealand, which will mark the end of a 21-year hiatus from hosting tri-series. This series will start on February 8, with the final scheduled for February 14.

Earlier in the week, the former Pakistan captain was among the cricketers who was invited by the Pakistan Cricket Board Chairperson, Mohsin Naqvi.

Pakistan cricket has faced scrutiny due to its poor performances in recent white-ball ICC tournaments. Babar Azam and his team failed to qualify for the knockout stages in both the ODI World Cup 2023 and the T20 World Cup 2024

Additionally, ongoing drama and instability within the PCB have negatively impacted the image of Pakistani cricket and contributed to the challenges the team faces on and off the field.
