ICC pulls back PCB on giant scenes installed at Karachi
According to a report for RevSportz Global, ICC did a review of the stadium renovation in Karachi and objected to the two giant big screens installed ahead of a stand.
Apparently, the ICC believes the screens will block the fans’ view and has ordered PCB to refund the fans who bought tickets for the disputed area.
Stadium management and the PCB are reportedly in discussions to address the ICC's concerns. A PCB official has hinted at the possibility of relocating the screens or reducing their size to comply with international regulations.
Notably, PCB has already pushed the deadline for the completion of the renovation by weeks. And with two weeks left for the event to start, the ICC has tightened scrutiny to ensure the best facilities are available for the players during the big event.
