The ECB had initially sought to raise 500 million pounds from share sales in the domestic franchise competition, with funds meant to support county cricket and grassroots development.
Investors from India, USA, and other global technology firms have expressed interest with bids coming from IPL teams and big corporations like that. Counties retain the majority 51% stake, while investors have secured a minimum 49% share.
