The International cricket council has finally revealed the anthem for the 2025 edition of Champions Trophy. The tournament is back after eight long years, and it will be hosted by Pakistan, the reigning champions. All India matches will be played out of Pakistan, but it has not affected the excitement around the event in Pakistan.
The anthem now reflects the excitement and vibe around the event and it is sung by none other than superstar Atif Aslam. The title of the song is 'Jeeto Baazi Khel ke' and it includes fans dancing along with Atif, featuring in jerseys of different nations. The flags of all the nations are floating in the video too, presenting the diversity of the tournament.
India's Lack Of Presence In Champions Trophy's Anthem Raises Questions
However, India's presence in the video is bit questionable. The man with the Indian jersey is seen at the fag end of the video, while Indian flag is also at the backend for the most part of the video. It is likely to be because of the political tensions between the two sides and also because India is the only team that will not be travelling to Pakistan for the mega event.
Overall, though, the anthem is quite good with full of energy and Atif Aslam's vintage voice is bound to mesmerise the audience. The tournament will start on 19th of February with Pakistan taking on New Zealand while the high-profile India-Pakistan encounter will be on 23rd of February at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
