Corbin Bosch, the South African all-rounder who was roped in by Mumbai Indians just before IPL 2025 has been handed a big blow by PCB. Corbin Bosch came in as replacement of Lizaad Williams and decided to leave Peshawar Zalmi for IPL, and it irritated PCB.
PCB Takes Strict Action Against South African Star For Ditching PSL
They warned of strict action, and now he has been banned for a year by the Pakistan board and would not be available for selection in the PSL 2026. Corbin Bosch was picked by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond Category during the PSL draft, but now has been replaced by Mitchell Owen.
Corbin Bosch, on the other hand, has apologised for his move and stated that he accept the fine and one year ban that has been handed by PCB. The South African also stated that he would learn from the mistake and return with more dedication in the upcoming editions of the PSL.
“I deeply regret my decision to withdraw from the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) and offer my sincere apologies to the people of Pakistan, the fans of Peshawar Zalmi and the wider cricket community."
“The HBL PSL is a prestigious tournament and I fully understand the disappointment caused by my actions. To the loyal fans of Peshawar Zalmi, I am truly sorry for letting you down. I take full responsibility for my actions and accept the consequences, including the penalty fine and the one-year ban from the HBL PSL. This has been a hard lesson, but I am committed to learning from this experience and hope to return to the HBL PSL in the future with renewed dedication and the trust of the fan."
Corbin Bosch is yet to get a chance for MI in IPL 2025 and it would be interesting to see how he goes about his business, if he does dons the blue jersey in the Indian league.
