The wait is almost over as, after a week's time, the caravan is set to continue at Manchester with India and England colliding in the 4th Test match. The hosts, England, have a 2-1 lead in the series, having dramatically won the Lord's Test. However, India will be eager for revenge as they aim to bounce back and level the 5-game series.

Heading into the 4th Test match, India has plenty of problems to deal with, especially when it comes to their selection department. Throughout the first three matches, India's team selection has been questionable and the team cannot afford another slip up in Manchester.

Latest training visuals provides massive Rishabh Pant update

The Shubman-Gill-led side has also been marred with injuries to their key players, including vice-captain Rishabh Pant. The maverick player got hit on his finger while attempting to stop a ball from Jasprit Bumrah in the Lord's Test, and he didn't keep wickets for the remainder of the Test.

In his place, India persisted with Dhruv Jurel, who kept wickets, while Pant played as a pure batter. There were doubts cast on his selection for the 4th Test match, but the latest visuals from training has revealed an interesting detail. In a video posted by Sportstar correspondent, Pant could be seen behind the stumps with his gloves on, indicating that he will keep wickets in the 4th Test match. The keeper-batter was doing catching drills and showed no sign of discomfort.

If the video is anything to go by, then Jurel might have to wait a bit longer to play as the management will go in with their best bet for the Manchester Test.

Karun Nair to get one more chance?

It seems like India are willing to persist with Karun Nair for a bit longer as the Indian batter was spotted in the slip cordon, doing catching practice. It indicates that Gautam Gambhir and Shubman Gill will continue to back him as their number 3 player for the remainder of the Test match.

Also, with Nitish Kumar Reddy ruled out, the side is likely to bring in a specialist spinner, Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI.
