Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka in the T20I series recently, and it seems they are carrying the same confidence in the ongoing T20I matches against Pakistan. In the first game of the tour, the Tigers wreaked havoc as the Pakistan batters had no answer to the brilliance of the home side on a sluggish surface.

On a wicket which was slightly on the slower side, the Tigers utilised their cutters to perfection and knocked over Pakistan for a paltry 110 inside 20 overs. In the process, the Litton Das-led side created history and, for the first time ever, Bangladesh managed to take all ten Pakistan wickets in a T20I game. This was also the 17th time Pakistan were bundled out in a T20I game, while batting first.

Also, this was the lowest total registered by Pakistan against Bangladesh in a T20I match, with the previous one being 127/5, which came in 2021. The visitors were the favourites for the match, but the Tigers ran riot to dismantle them with the ball in hand.

Over the last few years, Bangladesh team has dominated Pakistan in T20Is. Their three lowest totals against them have all come in the span of 4 years which showcases the shift in tide amongst the two teams. This will continue to haunt Pakistan since the wicket had something for the bowlers, but it was not a 110-run surface.

Bangladesh riding high after beating Sri Lanka

Bangladesh's resurgence shouldn't come as a surprise since the Tigers have done exceedingly well in recent times. In the T20Is vs Sri Lanka, the Bangladesh team were 1-0 down in the series, and despite having their backs against the wall, the visitors responded by winning the next two matches as they staged a comeback and won the T20Is, for the first time against the Lankan Lions.

They have carried the same confidence in this series as the home side will aim to beat Pakistan in the first game.
