In a significant development, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore confirmed the signings of Hardik Pandya and Cameron Green through their official Twitter handle on Monday afternoon. Notably, Pandya was retained by Gujarat Titans, while MI kept Green in their retention list submitted on Sunday. However, the trade window was still open and the five-time champions were finally able to secure the services of Pandya through an all-cash deal of INR 15 crores with Gujarat Titans.
Meanwhile, RCB, who had a whopping INR 40.75 Crores in their purse, drafted Green into their setup, investing an amount of INR 17.5 Crores. So, as these teams finalise their retained squad, here's the updated purse amounts of all the teams before the mega auction.
Mumbai Indians
The five-time champions bought Hardik Pandya for INR 15 Crores and got an additional amount of INR 2.5 Crores by trading Green with Royal Challengers Bangalore. So, they will enter the mini-auction with INR 17.75 crores in their purse.
Gujarat Titans
After trading Hardik Pandya with Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans increased their purse amount by INR 15 Crores. So, they will enter the mini-auction with INR 38.15 Crores left in their bank.
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Led by Faf du Plessis, Royal Challengers Bangalore purchased Cameron Green, spending INR 17.5 Crores. This moved reduces their purse amount to INR 23.25 Crores heading to the mini-auction.
