Pakistan's star spinner Usama Mir is all set to join the BBL 14 thrill as he has been called up for the Boxing Day clash for the Melbourne Stars against the Sydney Sixers. Mir's inclusion came under light as the Stars revealed their squad after several tweaks.

Usama Mir came in for the Stars while they are undergoing a few changes in their squad. The Stars will be without Hamish McKenzie, who has been sidelined with a rib injury and is expected to be re-evaluated before their match against the Brisbane Heat on January 1. Additionally, Beau Webster and Scott Boland remain unavailable due to their commitments with the Australian Test team during the ongoing series against Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Mir comes in with his fair share of league experience, where he has racked up 5 wickets in his BBL career with best figures of 3-19. Additionally, the 29-year-old has racked up 61 wickets in 44 PSL matches at an economy rate of 7.93.

Nevertheless, Marcus Stoinis will lead the side, with Glenn Maxwell and Tom Rogers adding firepower to the batting lineup.
