In a significant development, Australia have confirmed their playing XI for the third Test against India at Brisbane Cricket Ground. The hosts have made a big change to their playing XI, replacing Scott Boland with Josh Hazlewood.

In the pre-match press conference, Australian captain Pat Cummins confirmed that Hazlewood has recovered from the side strain that sidelined him from the pink ball Test in Adelaide.
"He's had no hiccups. He had a really good bowl yesterday, he had another bowl in Adelaide a couple of days previously. Him and the medical team are really confident," Cummins told reporters this morning.
Thus, the fast bowler has regained his fitness and replaced Scott Boland in the playing XI. Although Scott Boland was impressive with the ball in Adelaide, he's Hazlewood's backup and had to make way for him anyway.
However, the rest of the Australian line-up is unchanged and consists of familiar faces. While Usman Khawaja will open the batting with Nathan McSweeney, the likes of Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh will spearhead Australia's middle-order batting.
Alex Carey will perform the wicketkeeping duties, with skipper Cummins leading the hosts' bowling attack with the in-form Mitchell Starc, Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon.
