The ICC has announced the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025 Team of the Tournament, and it is led by Pakistan’s captain Fatima Sana. Players from Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Scotland made it into the best XI after a thrilling and hard-fought competition.

The Women’s World Cup qualifier was an eventful tournament. While Pakistan qualified after their unbeaten run, West Indies suffered a heartbreak, falling short of qualification due to a marginal net run rate difference.

Meanwhile, to honour the top performers of the competitive tournament, ICC decided to release a team from the tournament.

At the top of the list is Hayley Matthews from the West Indies. She had an outstanding tournament, scoring 240 runs and taking 13 wickets, the most by any bowler. Her unbeaten 114* against Scotland and match-winning bowling made her a standout performer.

Pakistan’s Muneeba Ali was consistent with the bat, scoring 223 runs, while Sharmin Akhter from Bangladesh was solid at number three with 266 runs in the tournament. Scotland’s Kathryn Bryce, who scored the most runs (293) and took 6 wickets, was named Player of the Tournament for her all-round brilliance.

Nigar Sultana from Bangladesh, who also kept wickets, played key innings including a century and two fifties, helping her team qualify for the World Cup.

Captain Fatima Sana showed true leadership for Pakistan with 12 wickets and 103 runs, including match-winning performances with both bat and ball. Her efforts helped Pakistan win tough games and reach the World Cup.

Others who impressed include Chinelle Henry and Aaliyah Alleyne from the West Indies, Katherine Fraser from Scotland, and the spin duo of Nashra Sandhu and Sadia Iqbal from Pakistan. Bangladesh’s Rabeya Khan was named as the reserve player.
