In a significant development, two star Pakistan players, Babar Azam and Salman Ali Agha, have experienced a sharp drop in their latest ICC Test Player Rankings. These declines have come at a time when Pakistan cricket has been have facing a challenging time.

Babar Azam's Drop In ICC Ranking

In the significant announcement, Babar Azam has seen his position in the latest Test batting ranking fall by one spot. The right-handed batter, who had previously been ranked 17th, has now slipped to 18th place, with 670 rating points. While not a massive drop, it is a concerning trend for a player who has often been regarded as Pakistan’s most reliable and consistent performer with the bat.

This fall in his rankings comes on the back of a string of lackluster performances in which he has not lived up to his usual high standards.

Agha Salman Significant Slip In The ICC Rankings

All-rounder Agha Salman has also seen a significant fall in the latest ICC Test rankings. He has dropped from 17th to 20th place in the Test Batting Rankings, with 662 rating points. While he has shown flashes of brilliance in recent time, his inconsistency has hindered his ability to maintain his performance.

India's Dominance In ICC Rankings

The latest ICC rankings also reflect a significant rise for India, most notably, India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal climbed to a career-high second place in the Test Batting Rankings after his magnificent 161 in Perth. Alongside him, Virat Kohli’s unbeaten century in India’s Test series against Australia has propelled him up to 13th place.

It is worth mentioning that, Jasprit Bumrah has moved up and coveted number one spot in the latest ICC Test bowler rankings. He has surpassed South African pacer Kagiso Rabada, who previously held the top position. He has attained this leap of two spots after his recent performance against Australia in the Perth Test.
