After a shocking defeat at the hands of Zimbabwe in the first ODI match in Bulawayo, the Pakistan side came back strongly to win the second match by 10-wickets, thus making a strong statement. The win helps the visitors level the series and gave them a much-needed confidence heading into the next match.
The star of the show was Saim Ayub, who slammed a 53-ball hundred, and scored the joint third fastest ODI ton for his nation. The youngster was at his imperial best as he blew away the Zimbabwean team who looked helpless in front of him. Pakistan chased down 146 inside 19 overs, with Saim remaining unbeaten at 113 off 62 balls.

However, there was another hero for the visiting team and it was Abrar Ahmed. The spinner who was making his ODI debut, instantly made his mark and scalped 4 wickets for 33 runs as the hosts got bundled out for a paltry 145.
With his brilliant bowling, Abrar joined an elite list, and became the fourth Pakistani bowler to pick 4 wickets on ODI debut and entered the club alongside the great Abdul Qadir, Zakir Khan and Sarfaraz Nawaz.
Also, he registered the second best figures by a Pakistan bowler on debut, with Zakir Khan standing on top of the list.

Zimbabwe were confident after winning the first ODI in a one-sided battle, however, the Pakistan bowlers had their tails up as they were ruthless in their approach and knocked over the home team for a low total. In reply, it was the Saim Ayub show as the youngster slammed his maiden international ton and gave the victory to his side.
