PCB has formally announced the schedule of the National Women’s T20 Tournament 2025. The series will commence on May 7 in Karachi and will feature some of the country's biggest cricket stars.

This year, five teams will take part namely, Challengers, Conquerors, Invincibles, Stars, and Strikers.

Every team will feature in 8 matches, with a double-league structure where all teams meet twice. There will be a total of 22 matches played within 18 days.

After the league stage, the top 3 teams will advance to the playoffs. The teams placed second and third will face off in a Qualifier on May 22, and the winner of that match will play the top-ranked team in the Final on May 24 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.

Interestingly, a total of 80 women cricketers will participate, and each team has named 19 players for now. These squads will be cut down to 16 players after a four-day pre-tournament camp starting May 3.

Some of Pakistan’s top women cricketers will be leading the teams. These include Fatima Sana (Conquerors), Gull Feroza (Strikers), Muneeba Ali (Invincibles), Rameen Shamim (Challengers), and Sidra Amin (Stars).

Moreover, to improve accessibility, the Qualifier and Final will be live-streamed on the PCB’s official YouTube channel.

Nida Dar To Skip T20 Tournament After Mental Health Break

Pakistan’s senior women’s cricketer Nida Dar has announced that she is stepping away from all forms of cricket to focus on her mental health. The 38-year-old made the announcement through a heartfelt post on social media, asking for privacy during this difficult time.

She was recently called up for the national training camp ahead of the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers in Lahore. Although she appeared for a fitness test, she chose not to join the camp and later formally withdrew from selection. Her absence was also noticed in the National Women’s T20 Cup. Dar last played for Pakistan in October 2023 against New Zealand in Dubai.
