After a successful ODI series against Australia, Team India will embark on their World Cup journey, with two practice games scheduled against England and Netherlands.

The game against England is scheduled on Saturday, 30 September in Guwahati, and expect a surprising Indian lineup when they take the field against the defending World Champions.

With injuries and fatigue taking a toll on the Indian players, it is expected that the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma won't be a part of the playing XI against England.

It seems as if the BCCI is keeping their two key players fresh for the mega event, and the duo is likely to return against the Netherlands, in their second warm-up match on October 3.

With player management a key issue, and a lot of teams witnessing key players getting ruled out due to injuries, the Indian team management will not take any risk, considering the importance of Kohli and captain Rohit.

Expect the other player to get some game time against England. KL Rahul is likekly to lead the Indian side on Friday, with other players getting much needed practice before they collide against Australia on October 8 in Chennai.
