In the closing chapters of this eventful cricket year, memories linger of the World Test Championship Final and the thrilling World Cup 2023, where Australia secured their sixth trophy by defeating India.

As we approach the end of 2023, renowned commentator Harsha Bhogle shared his Test XI, featuring four English, three Australian, two New Zealand, and two Indian players, acknowledging their outstanding performances.

The versatile commentator, named Usman Khawaja and Zak Crawley as his opening pair in the Test XI, applauding their stellar contributions as openers for their respective teams throughout the year.

For positions three and four in his Test XI, Harsha Bhogle opted for former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson and Joe Root. Williamson scored 697 runs in seven test matches, while Root delivered with 787 runs.

Another name on Harsha Bhogle's list was the English batting sensation, Harry Brook, who has been impressing everyone with his batting prowess ever since his debut for England.

Harsha Bhogle chose Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin as the bowling all-rounders in his team. Their stellar performances have consistently served as the backbone of Team India in the test format, and this year was no exception.

In the pace department, Harsha Bhogle selected Stuart Broad, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood for his Test XI. It's worth mentioning that Stuart Broad announced his retirement from cricket earlier this year.
