The IPL season is knocking on the door and India's head coach Gautam Gambhir was seen in vacay mode hinting at his absence from the mega-tournament of country. A viral social media video shows Gambhir at the airport with his family.

Gambhir was seen at the airport with his wife Natasha and daughters Aazeen and Anaiza for a vacation in France during the ongoing IPL 2025 season.

Gautam Gambhir’s French Escape Amid IPL Frenzy

Arguably, the timing of the trip has sparked discussions about Gambhir’s priorities, as he appears to distance himself from the high-octane league. The footage saw Gambhir dressed casually managing luggage while his daughters cling to their dad. 

This marks Gambhir’s first major break since leading India to a Champions Trophy 2025 victory in Dubai last month. Under his coaching, India clinched their first ICC trophy since 2013, defeating South Africa in a thrilling final. 

Post-IPL Challenges For Gambhir

While IPL franchises eye for playoff spots, Gambhir’s focus seems already shifted to India’s five-Test tour of England in June 2025. The series, seen as a litmus test for Bazball tactics, will demand meticulous planning. 

Meanwhile, the heat of the series has already started brewing as Ben Duckett got involved in a bizarre situation after commenting on Jasprit Bumrah.

Nevertheless, as the Gambhirs explore Parisian landmarks, the question remains whether the India coach should be scouting IPL talent.  However, it is worth mentioning that Gambhir's vacation dates are not revealed and it is possible that he will be watching the league after missing the initial weeks.
