In a hilarious moment that caught cricket fans' attention, Kerry O'Keefe referred to Nathan Lyon as 'Taklu' which translates to bald man in English. O'Keefe was on air in the commentary box of the Boxing Day Test between India and Australia when he passed the comment while recalling a hilarious story on how he discovered the term 'Taklu' from Indian fans.

The Boxing Day Test between India and Australia is gaining steam as the rivalry between the two giant cricketing nations takes a new shape. Amid a heated battle between Sam Konstas and Virat Kohli, Australia piled up 474 runs batting first at MCG. 

In reply, India posted 369 runs, courtesy of Nitish Reddy's valiant maiden Test century. Reddy and Washington Sundar added 127 runs together for the 8th wicket to save India from a humiliating collapse.

Meanwhile, to lighten the intense atmosphere, former Australian cricketer Kerry O'Keefe shared a hilarious story on air. He left everyone in splits as he humorously referred to Nathan Lyon as 'Taklu.' 

Explaining the origins of "Taklu," O'Keefe said that Indian fans once called him Taklu on social media. As he looked up for the meaning, O'Keefe understood that the fans meant to refer to him as a bald man. Hence, he used the exact same term for Lyon as well.

Lyon, who dismissed Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar on Day 3, had figures of 2/88 at stumps, but it was O'Keefe's "Taklu" remark that stole the show.

Australia were cruising in the fourth Test at MCG as they reduced India to 191/6 in the second innings. However, 21-year-old all-rounder Nitish Reddy wasn't giving up with a fight. He paired up with Washington Sundar to stitch a 127-run partnership that boosted India's total to 369 and cut down Australia's lead to 105 runs. Meanwhile, Reddy achieved a personal milestone by slamming his maiden Test ton amid a rousing reception from teammates, fans, and his emotional father.
