On Friday, Pakistan will cross swords against Australia in the second One-Day International of the ongoing three-match series. Led by Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan had a poor start to the series, losing the first match by a narrow two-wicket margin at Melbourne Cricket Ground. Batting first, Pakistan posted a modest total of 203 runs, which the Aussies chased, thanks to a valuable cameo from skipper Pat Cummins.
Naseem Shah Declared Fit For 2nd ODI
Meanwhile, the Men in Green have received a massive boost ahead of the second ODI, with Naseem Shah being declared fit for the must-win match in Adelaide. Notably, Naseem walked off the field after sustaining cramps during the first ODI at MCG.
But as reported by Cricket Pakistan, the ace speedster has recovered from it and even participated in Pakistan's practice session in Adelaide today. So, in all likelihood, he will be available for selection for the penultimate game.
Naseem Shah's Performance In 1st ODI
Naseem Shah had a memorable game in the first ODI against Australia in Melbourne. On a track where most of his teammates failed with the bat, Naseem hammered four sixes for a belligerent 39-ball 40, propelling Pakistan to 203 with his brutal hitting.
Before the cramp forced him to walk off the field, the right-arm pacer bowled in tight lines, getting the prized scalp of Jake Fraser-McGurk, who looked sublime during his brief stay. He has been an integral member of Pakistan's white-ball setup and could be a key player for them in Adelaide.
