In the ongoing first ODI match between Australia and Pakistan, Naseem Shah once again showcased his skill by providing his team with a crucial breakthrough. He swiftly removed Jake Fraser-McGurk with the assistance of Irfan Khan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Monday.
Fraser-McGurk was forced to walk back after scoring just 16 runs off 14 balls in the clash, and the send-off from the Pakistani pacer was loud and clear. The Aussie youngster has not been able to do anything significant in international cricket till now, as a result of which he has faced a lot of criticism for his performance.
In the fourth over, Naseem bowled a short of a length delivery on the stumps, Fraser-McGurk sat deep in the crease and decided to go for a pull over the mid wicket region however was hurried by the pace.
He mistimed it completely, and Irfan Khan, stationed at the mid-on, took a simple catch safely toward his right. Following this, Naseem Shah, who even batted brilliantly in the game, roared in aggression after this wicket. With this, both the Australian openers were back in the hut inside four overs.
