The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has granted No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to Bangladesh fast bowlers Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and senior Test batter Mominul Haque to participate in various overseas leagues. While Mustafizur and Taskin are scheduled to play the ongoing ILT20 2025-26 season in the UAE, Mominul has departed to play grade cricket in Australia.

The BCB also recently granted permission to leg-spinner Rishad Hossain to play the Big Bash League (BBL) 2025-26 season in Australia for the Hobart Hurricanes.

After Ireland success, Bangladesh players disperse for overseas stints

As confirmed by Bangladesh cricket operations in-charge Shahriar Nafees, fast bowlers Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and Test batter Mominul Haque have all been granted NOCs to play in overseas leagues up until December 23.

The aforementioned players will be expected to return back to Dhaka in time for the launch of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 season, scheduled to commence from December 26 onwards later this month.

As of now, Mustafizur Rahman is gearing up to play for the Dubai Capitals in ILT20 2025-26 season as a replacement for Ritesh Grandhi. His pace mate Taskin Ahmed, meanwhile, will turn up for the Sharjah Warriorz franchise alongside the likes of Sikandar Raza, Dinesh Karthik and others.

Mominul Haque took a slightly different route in comparison to the two fast bowlers, as the 34-year-old batter and Test veteran will be appearing in New South Wales Grade cricket in Australia. Mominul will play for the Blacktown District Cricket Club in the New South Wales Premier Cricket Competition, as organised by the Sydney Cricket Association.

Despite receiving NOCs, the three cricketers will be required to return back to Bangladesh for the BPL 2025-26 season in late-December. Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed are both included in Rangpur Riders and Dhaka Capitals franchises respectively for the tournament, while Mominul Haque is included in the Sylhet Titans.
