Sunil Narine delivered a tight four-over spell against Sharjah Warriorz in a high-scoring cracker at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, December 3. Defending 234 for a win, the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders stand-in captain conceded just 22 runs off his four overs and picked up the important wicket of Tom Abell for a run-a-ball six to claim figures of 1-22.

Through the course of his match-winning spell, Sunil Narine also scaled a huge T20 bowling record, previously achieved only by Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan and West Indies fast bowler Dwayne Bravo.

Sunil Narine became only the third cricketer in T20 history to complete 600 wickets, doing so with his match-winning spell against Sharjah Warriorz in match number two of the ILT20 2025-26 season.

He achieved the feat in his 558th T20 innings, thus joining the likes of Rashid Khan and Dwayne Bravo as one of only three players in history to collect 600 or more wickets in the format. Here is a look at five bowlers with most T20 wickets to their names.

Sunil Narine is currently sitting on a pile of 600 wickets in 558 innings spanning 568 T20 matches for different franchises across the world. The cunning off-spinner also collected 52 of those wickets in international cricket for the West Indies team, and was part of their T20 World Cup winning squad of 2012 in Sri Lanka.

Sunil Narine, aged 37, can now add a few more wickets to his expansive T20 tally through the ongoing ILT20 2025-26 season in the UAE as Abu Dhabi Knight Riders stalwart. He will next be seen in action for the Knight Riders against Desert Vipers in match number four of the tournament on December 5.
