The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is facing massive heat as the PCB has threatened to blacklist Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen for his criticism of the league, with top officials expecting an apology from the team owner. The ownership rights of the team expire in December, and the existing owners must rebid to buy the franchise again.

However, if Ali Tareen is blacklisted, he may not be able to buy Multan Sultans for the next decade. Over the last few years, Tareen has been critical of how PSL operates, as he believes no new innovation has been done by the league to make PSL exciting, and he has also questioned PCB for a lack of communication and transparency. PCB was supposed to introduce two new teams in the PSL, but till now, no such decision has been taken, and this has infuriated Tareen.

Ali Tareen rips legal notice sent by PCB

In the latest rebellious act, Multan Sultans owner, Tareen, has hit back at PCB’s legal notice as he tore it apart live on video. The PCB last month sent a legal notice to Tareen as they wanted an answer from him and an apology. However, in a live video posted by Tareen, the owner of the Sultans, once again criticised PCB for the lack of communication, and stated that the differences could have been sorted via a call, message or an email.

"Instead I was served a legal notice. If you were more competent, you would know these matters aren’t handled this way," said Ali Khan Tareen.

In the end of the video, Tareen ripped apart the legal notice, with a simple message for the PCB - "I hope you like my apology."

The PCB is yet to respond to Tareen’s video message, but most likely, they will stand firm in their stance and Tareen could face severe consequences and could be blacklisted.
