MS Dhoni Hosts Suresh Raina For Dinner At Ranchi (Check Pics)

Former Indian batsman Suresh Raina got re-united with his yesteryear’s teammate MS Dhoni at the latter’s residence in Ranchi. Raina, who was already in the city owing to his Legends League Cricket 2023 commitment for the Urbanrisers Hyderabad, met CSK veteran Dhoni and his wife Sakshi a day prior to his team’s planned fixture against India Capitals.

A day after leading Urbanrisers Hyderabad to a 13-run win against Southern Superstars in the 2023 Legends League Cricket season in Ranchi, Suresh Raina caught up with his former national and IPL teammate MS Dhoni at the latter’s residence.

Raina took to his Instagram account to share pictures of his reunion with Dhoni as well as his wife Sakshi. In the caption, he wrote:

“Thank you so much for the great dinner @sakshisingh_r & @mahi7781 bhai ❤️”

Suresh Raina made his international debut in 2005, i.e., shortly after MS Dhoni burst on to the scene with explosive match-winning tons for Team India. Moreover, Raina also spent nearly the entirety of his IPL career alongside Dhoni at the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise between the years 2008 and 2021.

The two cricketers, having played crucial roles in India’s historic triumph at the 2011 World Cup, announced their retirement from international cricket on the same day, merely minutes apart from each other on August 15, 2020.

Raina is currently leading the Urbanrisers Hyderabad camp at the 2023 Legends League Cricket season, where his side defeated Southern Superstars by 13 runs in their tournament opener. The Urbanrisers, currently placed at the top of the points table, will now go up against India Capitals, led by Raina’s former teammate Gautam Gambhir on November 23.
