Pakistan defeated Australia by 8 wickets in the third ODI match to win the series, 2-1. The visitors came from 0-1 down and won back-to-back ODIs to defeat the Aussies in their own backyard. Under the astute leadership of Mohammad Rizwan, the Pakistan side created history, Down Under.

This was Pakistan's first series win in Australia since 2002 and the credit has to be given to their bowlers. The likes of Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi were at their imperial best as Pakistan didn't even allow any Aussie batter to score a fifty-plus score across three games.

Rauf was the star of the series, as he plucked a fifer in the second ODI and was instrumental in Pakistan's win. Rizwan, the leader was also crucial in the win as he led from the front and became the second Pakistan captain after Waqar Younis to win an ODI series on Australian shores.

During Waqar's tenure as well, Pakistan lost the first ODI, but came back strongly to win the series,

Pakistan lost a close-fought contest in the first match. Despite scoring just 203 runs, the Pakistan bowlers made a match out of it and pushed the home side to their limits as they needed a Pat Cummins special to win the contest.

In the second match, Rauf blew Australia away and Saim Ayub scored a blistering fifty as Pakistan roared back in the series. With the Aussies resting Test bound players for the 3rd ODI, Rizwan and his men took advantage of it and played their best cricket to seal an emphatic series win.
