In a remarkable achievement, Bangladesh's prominent all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has won the prestigious ICC player of the month award for April. The announcement was made through ICC's official handle on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Bangladesh's premier all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz became only the third player from his country to win the ICC player of the month award. Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan are the other two Bangladesh cricketers to attain the landmark.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz enjoyed stellar success in April, showcasing remarkable all-round attributes against Zimbabwe in the recently held Test series. Besides amassing 116 runs with the bat, Miraz scalped 15 wickets at an average of 38.66 and a strike rate of 11.86.
In his reaction, Mehidy Hasan Miraz expressed his gratitude towards the ICC, saying,
"It’s an incredible honour to win the ICC Men’s Player of the Month. The ICC Awards are the ultimate recognition for any cricketer, and to receive this from a global vote means a lot to me.
