In a remarkable achievement, Bangladesh's prominent all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has won the prestigious ICC player of the month award for April. The announcement was made through ICC's official handle on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). 

Mehidy Hasan Miraz Wins Player Of The Month Award

Bangladesh's premier all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz became only the third player from his country to win the ICC player of the month award. Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan are the other two Bangladesh cricketers to attain the landmark. 

Mehidy Hasan Miraz enjoyed stellar success in April, showcasing remarkable all-round attributes against Zimbabwe in the recently held Test series. Besides amassing 116 runs with the bat, Miraz scalped 15 wickets at an average of 38.66 and a strike rate of 11.86. 

In his reaction, Mehidy Hasan Miraz expressed his gratitude towards the ICC, saying, 

"It’s an incredible honour to win the ICC Men’s Player of the Month. The ICC Awards are the ultimate recognition for any cricketer, and to receive this from a global vote means a lot to me. Moments like these remind me of my journey — being named Player of the Tournament in the 2016 ICC Under 19 World Cup was a massive encouragement early in my career, and this award feels just as special."

Mehidy Hasan Miraz's Heroics Vs Zimbabwe

Hailed for his incredible all-round prowess, Mehidy Hasan Miraz rattled Zimbabwe with successive five-wicket hauls in the first Test. He further went on to slam a magnificent century in the subsequent encounter, following it up with a clinical five-for, scripting a series-levelling win for the home side. 

Kathryn Bryce Bags Women's Player Of The Month Award

Meanwhile, Scotland skipper Kathryn Bryce has won the Women's player of the month award for April. Bryce was exceptional with the bat in the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier, finishing the tournament as the top run-scorer. She was also adjudged with the player of the tournament award for her blitzkreig in the competition.
