Mehidy Hasan Miraz Selection for Asia Cup 2025 Uncertain
The move could impact Mehidy Hasan Miraz's chances of getting selected in Bangladesh's squad for the Asia Cup 2025. The all-rounder is the captain in the ODI format, but has not been a regular member of the T20I side and was selected in only one out of the three T20Is against Pakistan recently.
However, he was part of the camp in Dhaka for the preparation of the Netherlands series and the Asia Cup. Therefore, the selectors might still opt to select him for the Asia Cup 2025, which is scheduled to start on September 9.
The series against the Netherlands has been arranged to prepare the Bangla Tigers for the Asia Cup 2025 after the postponement of the India series. The series will be played in Sylhet, and the first game is scheduled for August 30. The second and third games will be on September 1 and 3, following which Litton Das and co. will head to the UAE for the Asia Cup 2025.
