Jordan Silk’s 48 In Vain As Northern Territory Fall Short
Northern Territory lost three of their top four batters inside the first four over of the innings itself to crash to 24-3 in a chase of 173. With Hasan Mahmud, Ripon Mondol and Tofael Ahmed all striking once with the new ball, Connor Carroll and Jordan Silk counterattacked the Bangladeshi trio with a fighting 82-run stand for the fourth wicket. Carroll (43 off 30) and Silk (48 off 41) listed confident 40s before both cricketers were dismissed in quick succession by Rakibul Hasan in his tight four-over spell (2-22).
Tofael Ahmed also picked up his second wicket of the innings in the form of Matt Hammond. Hasan Mahmud got rid of Tom Andrews in the final over as Bangladesh A restricted Northern Territory to just 150-7 to secure a comprehensive 22-run win.
