Lucknow Super Giants' Farewell Post For Gautam Gambhir As He Part Ways To Join KKR

The World Cup winner, Gautam Gambhir has had a great cricketing career winning the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the ODI World Cup in 2011. He was also the highest scorer from India in the finals of both tournaments. And when it comes to the Indian Premier League, he has led the Kolkata Knight Riders to win the IPL trophy twice.

Ever since the addition of Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans, Gautam Gambhir was associated with Lucknow as their mentor. Under his stint as the mentor, LSG reached the playoffs in both seasons. After Gambhir decided to join KKR, LSG dedicated a farewell post for the left-hander on social media. 

After the IPL 2023, the reports suggested that Gautam Gambhir would be joining the Knight Riders for the next season. And today, the announcement has been made and Gautam Gambhir has joined the KKR management as a mentor of the team.

Lucknow Super Giants thanks Gautam Gambhir for his contributions during his stint as the mentor. Even Gautam Gambhir penned an emotional message after parting ways with the franchise owned by Sanjiv Goenka. 

He thanked the coaches, support staff and all the players and wished well for the team stating that he is sure that LSG will do wonders in the coming seasons. And now LSG with their farewell post wished him luck and wrote 'Go Well Legend'. 

Gambhir will be seen in the KKR's dugout in the upcoming season and also in the Auctions which will be happening on the 19th of December in Dubai. Venky Mysore, who is the co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders also posted saying couldn't be happier, welcome back.
