Delhi Capitals Set to Leave Sarfaraz Khan And Manish Pandey Ahead Of IPL 2024

Delhi Capitals finished ninth on the points table in the 2023 IPL and are seem to be in the mood to make some big changes to their batting line-up that struggled big time in the last edition. According to the reports, they are all set to leave Sarfaraz Khan and Manish Pandey ahead of IPL 2024 auction, as both of them failed to create any substantial impact in the last season.
Delhi Capitals were without their regular skipper Rishabh Pant in the 2023 season and though the stand-in skipper, David Warner performed quite well, the batting unit as a whole failed miserably. Prithvi Shaw's future with the franchise is also in doubt and along with Sarfaraz Khan and Manish Pandey, he might also be released ahead of the auction.
Sarfaraz Khan who has been spectacular in domestic cricket for Mumbai in the last few years, but his IPL career has not taken off as expected. He scored only 53 runs in four matches while Manish Pandey also could notch up only 160 runs in 10 games. According to the reports, CSK might trade in Manish Pandey who has scored 3808 runs in his illustrious IPL career.
Rishabh Pant is all set to be back in the IPL 2024 and there are chances that DC go big in IPL auction for Indian middle order batters.
The IPL auction for the 2024 season is scheduled to take place on 19th of December and it would be interesting how all teams shape up ahead of what is expected to be another cracking IPL season.
