Lucknow Super Giants are up against Punjab Kings in game number 21 of IPL 2023 at the Ekana Stadium, Lucknow and once again it looks like the game will go right down to the wire. Punjab Kings are chasing 160 and in reply at the time of writing are 75-4 at the 11-over mark.

They were rocked early with Atharva Taide departing in the very first over and then Prabhsimran Singh failed again as Punjab Kings were reduced to 17-2. Both the wickets were taken by LSG debutant, Yudhvir Singh Charak who bowed with great intensity and got good bite off the surface. Matthew Short then once again played a fluent knock to bring Punjab back in the game but departed on 34 off 22 balls with Gowtham, the impact player getting a big wicket.

There was a brief partnership though after that third wicket in the Powerplay which was eventually broken by Krunal Pandya in the 11th over. Sikandar Raza and Sam Curran are in the crease now and they need to take this game deep if Punjab wants to win this one.

Earlier in the game, Punjab Kings restricted LSG to 159 on the back of a good all-round bowling display. They are without Shikhar Dhawan in this game and a win in this game would surely give them a lot of confidence going forward.
