Predicted Rajasthan Royals Playing XI for Match 23 Against Gujarat Titans

Rajasthan Royals (RR) will clash with Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 23 of the Indian Premier League 2023 on on Sunday (April 16) at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. 

Royals have secured three victories in four league matches and are at top of the points table. In their last league match, RR secured a thrilling victory by four runs against Chennai Super Kings. They posted 175 on the board, with Jos Buttler scoring a fifty. Then, Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal bagged two wickets apiece to help Royals win the game. 


Top Order

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson

The RR top-order has been terrific with their consistency to provide a good start for the team. Buttler has 204 runs in four innings at an average of 70, and a strike rate of 170. On the other hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal has garnered 135 runs, with two fifties and is looking in good touch. 


Skipper Sanju Samson was impressive in the first two matches with knocks of 55 and 42, and would look to bring back the same form in this fixture. 


Middle Order

Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jurel, Jason Holder

Devdutt Padikkal scored a hefty 38 in the last game, while Shimron Hetmyer scored 30 and has been giving a fine flourish to the team in almost all the matches. Dhruv Jurel is the designated finisher,  while Jason Holder has done well with the ball and needs to chip in with the bat. 


Bowlers

Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Sen, Sandeep Sharma, Yuzvendra Chahal, Trent Boult

Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal are the key players in the line-up due to their ability to contain runs and keep taking wickets in consistent intervals. 

Trent Boult is likely to return in this game after recovering from a niggle, and can secure breakthroughs in the powerplay. Sandeep Sharma was terrific with his executions in the last game, and will be up beat ahead of this game.
