Laura Woolvardt has jumped two positions in the ICC ODI batter's rankings to take the number 1 place after her heroics in the Women's World Cup 2025. She has replaced Indian superstar Smriti Mandhana, who has moved to number 2.
The South African captain scored centuries in both the semifinal and the final and now has reached a career-best rating of 814. She was also the leading run-scorer in the World Cup, where she smashed 571 runs at an average of 71.38. Interestingly, the second and third highest scorers in the World Cup are also at the same position in the ICC ODI batters' rankings.
The Indian number 3, Jemimah Rodrigues, has also taken a big jump of nine positions after the World Cup campaign. She is now in the 10th place in the rankings, while Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur is in the 14th position. Ellyse Perry has moved to the eighth position, while Phoebe Litchfield, the centurion of the final, is in the 13th place.
Sophie Ecclestone stay at top in bowler's rankings
On the bowling front, Sophie Ecclestone stays at the top of the ICC Women's ODI rankings. Marizanne Kapp, on the other hand, has moved to the second place after her fifer in the semifinal against England. Alana King has moved to number 3 despite a good World Cup campaign, while the leading wicket-taker of the tournament, Deepti Sharma, is at the fifth position.
Deepti Sharma has also moved one place up in the all-rounder rankings. She is now in the fourth position while Ashleigh Gardner continues to stay at the top after her strong show in the World Cup. Nadine de Klerk has also broken into the top 10 after her brilliant performance for South Africa in the marquee tournament.
