Kieron Pollard, the former West Indies skipper and hard-hitting batter has joined England men's team as an assistant coach for T20 World Cup 2024

Kieron Pollard is one of the legends of T20 cricket and his expertise and knowledge of Caribbean conditions that will host the T20 World Cup in 2024 is believed to have played a big role in England drafting him as assistant coach.

Kieron Pollard was part of West Indies’ victorious campaign in T20 World Cup 2012 and lead Windies in the 2021 T20 World Cup as well. Overall, the charismatic cricketer has played 101 T20Is and has delivered plenty of match-winning performances in his career. Pollard is currently MI’s batting coach and has the experience of leading plenty of T20 franchises all over the world.

England have struggled in white-ball cricket recently, and with series loss against Windies in Caribbean conditions, they seem desperate to make amends in the next T20 World Cup.

Jos Buttler and company are the defending champions and the appointment of Kieron Pollard will provide them much-needed local flavour and expert T20 mind when they visit Caribbean shores for the T20 World Cup 2024.
