The incident occurred during the eighth set of Oval's innings when Jacks had already ensured a great start for them.

Despite losing his opening partner, Dawid Malan, early in the innings, Will Jacks hammered four boundaries and three massive sixes for a quick-fire 20-ball 41.

However, Manchester skipper Phil Salt's decision to bring Sikandar Raza into the attack proved to be a masterstroke, as the veteran all-rounder got the prized wicket of Jacks.

From over the wicket, the experienced Zimbabwean spinner bowled a good length delivery around the off stump. As there was slight of width on offer, Jacks decided to free his arms, playing an aggressive aerial shot in the off side.

However, his bullet shot couldn't beat Wayne Madsen, who flew like a bird to take a magnificent catch and send him packing.

After Jacks' departure, the in-form all-rounder Sam Curran hammered 68 runs, powering Oval to a competitive 164-run total.

In response, Manchester could only muster 161/7 on the board, losing the game by a bare three-run margin.
