The IPL 2025 final is just hours away and ahead of the title-deciding game, a closing ceremony took place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The ceremony was dedicated to Indian armed forces and ICC chairman Jay Shah enjoyed it from the stands along with his mother, wife and kid.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings will compete in the ultimate final scheduled to take place today in Ahmedabad. The winning franchise will end their trophy-less run in IPL.
However, before the tournament comes to an end, IPL organised a special show to thank the Indian armed forces for their relentless services and sacrifices for the country.
Jay Shah Attends IPL 2025 Final Closing Ceremony
Renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan and his team performed the closing ceremony of the IPL 2025 season at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The event was dedicated to the Indian armed forces who fight and sacrifice their everything to protect this nation. Recently, Indian forces conducted ‘Operation Sindoor’ on Pakistan to eliminate terror outfits. Hence, the closing ceremony was entirely dedicated to the defence forces.
Meanwhile, former BCCI secretary and sitting ICC chairman Jay Shah attended the closing ceremony. He was accompanied by his mother, wife and daughter as the entire Shah family enjoyed the performance.

The weather in Ahmedabad is clear for the game. The toss is expected to be held on schedule. However, future threat of interruption cannot be ruled out as Qualifier 2 held on June 1 at the same venue was delayed due to rain.

A brief video clip showing Shah entering the hotel quickly went viral on X (formerly Twitter), triggering a wave of fan reactions ranging from light-hearted memes to bold conspiracy theories. Comments like “RCB’s win confirmed” and “trophy delivered early” flooded timelines, while others joked he came “to console RCB in advance.”
