Recently, RCB legend AB de Villiers arrived in India for the much-awaited final and in the latest events, the universal boss too has landed in Ahmedabad to watch his former side in action against Punjab Kings.
Gayle had revealed his plans of watching the final in Ahmedabad and tweeted, “En route to support my 2 former teams RCB & PBKS in the IPL finals,” while thanking Qatar Airways for a smooth journey.

Gayle has played for both RCB and PBKS during his illustrious IPL career. The universal boss has played for the Challengers from 2011 to 2017, amassing 3,163 runs in 85 matches and 84 innings, averaging 43.33 with a strike rate of 152.
AB De Villiers Gets Emotional Speaking About RCB
Notably, while speaking on Star Sports, AB left a warm message for his longtime mate. “Go out and enjoy and have fun out there. Put a smile on your face. I’ll be there watching you. Bring that trophy home,” he said.
AB De Villiers also remarked that he would enter RCB's dressing room after the final and give a hug to Virat Kohli and pose with the trophy.
