Yashasvi Jaiswal discharged from hospital

Blistering Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has been discharged from the hospital after being briefly hospitalized owing to his severe stomach pain. Earlier this week, Jaiswal was rushed to the hospital mere hours after Mumbai’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Super League match against Rajasthan in Pune.

The cricketer had reportedly experienced stomach cramps during the match itself, yet he continued to play in team’s discomfort. Yashasvi Jaiswal recently represented the Indian team in the Test and ODI series against South Africa at home.

Ishan Kishan hammers 49-ball 101 in SMAT final vs Haryana

Jharkhand captain and opener Ishan Kishan bludgeoned 101 runs off just 49 balls against Haryana in the final match of the 2025-26 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy season. The cricketer clattered six fours and 10 huge sixes at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune before he was clean bowled by Sumit Kumar. The innings marked Ishan Kishan’s sixth T20 century as Jharkhand mounted a match-winning total of 262-3 in 20 overs against Haryana bowlers.

Devon Conway and Tom Latham scale huge records with epic stand vs WI

New Zealand openers Tom Latham and Devon Conway crafted a 323-run opening partnership in 86.4 overs against West Indies on Day 1 of the third Test in Mount Maunganui. Captain Latham scored 137 runs from 246 balls with 15 fours and a six to notch up his 15th Test ton before getting dismissed by West Indies pacer Kemar Roach.

Conway reached 178* from 279 balls with 25 elegant boundaries as New Zealand mounted 334-1 in 90 overs by stumps on Day 1. The partnership marked the second highest opening stand by a New Zealand pair in Test history.

Joshua Dorne to lead as West Indies name U19 World Cup squad

West Indies cricket has named a 15-player West Indies squad for the upcoming 2026 ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup in Zimbabwe and Namibia next month. Joshua Dorne has been appointed as team captain, with Jonathan Van Lange being named as his deputy. The team also features the likes of wicketkeeper-batters Jewel Andrew and Tanez Francis as well as Jakeem Pollard, Shamar Apple and Tanez Francis.

The West Indies team is placed in Group D of the 2026 ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup alongside Afghanistan, South Africa and Tanzania. Their first match of the tournament will be played against Tanzania in Windhoek.

BCB postpones BPL 2026 opening ceremony

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Aminul Islam has decided to postpone the opening ceremony of the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 season owing to security concerns. While the tournament is scheduled to commence on December 26 next week at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet, the opening ceremony was originally intended to be held on December 24. However, Aminul believes that there no plans to hold an opening ceremony in light of the recent political situation in the country and the upcoming general elections.
