With under a month left for the ICC U19 World Cup 2026, the former champions, West Indies, have named their 15-member squad for the competition, as they look to build on their recent Youth ODI series success against England, where they defeated the visitors 5-2 in the 7-match series at home.
Joshua Dorne, who was the leading run-scorer of the aforementioned England series, with 315 runs in 7 innings, averaging 52.50, will be captaining the side, while the 18-year-old Jonathan Van Lange has been picked as the vice captain. On the expected lines, key performers from the same series, Vitel Lawes, Jakeem Pollard and Shauquan Belle have also found their names in the team. Allrounder Matthew Miller, 17, will be the youngest participant in the group, representing the Caribbeans.

The World Cup is set to begin on January 15, with India and the United States of America to feature in the first match in Bulawayo. On the other hand, the defending champions, Australia, are a part of Group A with the likes of Ireland, Japan and Sri Lanka.
