Australian Bowlers Dominate On Day 1

Day 1 of the Adelaide Oval belonged to Mitchell Starc because of his spectacular bowling display. After winning the toss, Rohit Sharma chose to bat first, but the team struggled against Starc's fierce pace. He delivered a remarkable performance, and took 6 wickets and shattered India’s top and middle order.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for a duck, while KL Rahul and Shubman Gill showed moments of promise but couldn’t convert them into substantial scores. Starc's second spell led to a rapid collapse, and India was all out for a mere 180 runs.

In response, Australia batted cautiously in the challenging pink-ball conditions. Jasprit Bumrah found his groove early as he took the wicket of Usman Khawaja. By the close of play of Day 1, Australia stood at 86/1.
