Sanju Samson was named in Team India’s 15-player squad earlier this week by the BCCI for the upcoming 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup in the UAE. The blistering wicketkeeper-batter is currently representing Kochi Blue Tigers in the ongoing Kerala Cricket League 2025 season.

However, mere weeks prior to the launch of the continental event, Samson was spotted at a hospital, as per the social media update of the cricketer’s wife Charulatha Remesh.

Sanju Samson’s Wife Shares Concerning Post

Charulatha Remesh, wife of Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson shared a rather concerning message for fans through her social media account on Thursday, August 21. She shared a picture of Samon laying on a hospital bed with medical strips on his hand.

In the caption, Charulatha Remesh described the afternoon time, but did not mention the nature of Samson’s injury. The post sparked a sense of panic among fans, with several alleging that the cricketer might have sustained an injury during the ongoing KCL 2025 season.

As it turned out, as per a source close to Sanju Samson, MyKhel reported that the senior stumper had suffered a fever and was admitted to the hospital for some rest.

Nonetheless, Samson still went on to take field for the Kochi Blue Tigers later that evening against the Trivandrum Royals at the Greenfield International Stadium Thiruvananthapuram in match number two of the tournament. While Sanju did not receive a chance to bat, his brother Saly Samson bludgeoned a 30-ball half-century to steer Kochi Blue Tigers to a comprehensive eight-wicket victory with more than eight overs to spare.

Sanju Samson will soon be expected to take flight for the UAE for the 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup alongside his teammates. Here is a look at the entire Team India squad for the continental event next month:
