RCB fast bowler Rasikh Salam is likely to move from Jammu & Kashmir to Baroda in the next 2025/26 Indian domestic cricket season. The Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has confirmed that they issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to allow Rasikh to make the switch.

Rasikh, 24, has been promising in the last couple of seasons. In first-class cricket, he has taken 13 wickets in 5 matches at an average of 25.23.

In List A cricket, he has 13 wickets in 10 games, while in T20s, he has 45 wickets from 36 matches. He was also part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) squad that won the IPL 2025 title and played in two matches during the season.

Rasikh Salam To Join Krunal Pandya, Jitesh Sharma In Baroda

According to a report from IANS, Brigadier Anil Gupta, a Member Administration of JKCA, said that an NOC is issued to Rasikh Salam to switch teams for the upcoming domestic season.

“Yes, we have given him the NOC. I don't remember exactly when the NOC was issued, but I believe it was done maybe five to six days ago. If he wants to play anywhere else, what difference does it make to us? We have given NOC to six players this time. We have enough talent and enough pool of players with us,” Gupta said.

The report also claimed that sources from the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) confirmed that Rasikh has officially joined their team for the domestic season.

The team may also be close to signing another player, Jitesh Sharma, a wicketkeeper-batter who is awaiting his NOC from Vidarbha.

Why Did Rasikh Choose Baroda?

IANS has further claimed that one of the key reasons behind Rasikh Salam’s move may be his connection with Krunal Pandya, the Baroda captain and fellow RCB teammate.

"It is for sure that Krunal would have helped Rasikh move to Baroda since they were teammates in RCB in the IPL this year. He wants to win a trophy in the coming domestic season and is focused on building a unit for that purpose,” the alleged source said.

Krunal, who has played for India in 5 ODIs and 19 T20Is, remains an important figure in Baroda’s domestic setup.
