One of the most valuable players in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, MS Dhoni has been a giant of this cash-rich tournament. The 43-year-old has often lit up past editions with his pyrotechnics by smashing powerful sixes.

MS Dhoni All Set To Join Elite List Of Players

Former Indian World Cup-winning legend and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, might be past his prime, but the big-hitting finisher is nowhere close to finishing after being retained by the franchise ahead of this season's IPL 2025 as an uncapped player for INR 4 crore.

The right-handed batter, who usually likes to finish the game for his side, barges in the final overs of the game and does the finishing job more often than not. The Ranchi-born wicketkeeper batter has a terrific record in the death overs, as he sets the stage on fire with his big-hitting abilities.

Despite batting in the middle order, MS Dhoni is all set to join Indian batters Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Suryakumar Yadav in an elite list. With 338 sixes, Mahi is just 12 sixes away from becoming the third Indian batter to smash 350 sixes in T20 cricket overall.

The top position is occupied by opener Rohit Sharma with 525 sixes, while Virat Kohli is at number two with 416. Behind both of them is Mumbai Indians' Suryakumar Yadav with 342 maximums in 285 innings, while Dhoni is right behind him.

If MS manages to smash 12 sixes before Surya, he would become the third Indian, whereas if Surya achieves the feat before him, Dhoni can be fourth.
