IPL 2025: Jofra Archer Excluded From The Shortened List Of 574 Players For Mega Auction

The much-awaited final list of 574 players for the mega auction of the Indian Premier League 2025 has been released. There are total 366 Indian players in the list while 208 overseas players will participate in the auction. The mega event will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia over the course of two days - 24th and 25th of November.

Pant, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul Among Marquee Players

One of the significant exclusion is Jofra Archer while another Englishman, the 42-year-old James Anderson has been included in the list. There are two sets of marquee players and the first set consists of Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Jos Buttler, Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh and Mitchell Starc. KL Rahul has been included in the second set of marquee players which also include Yuzvendra Chahal, Liam Livingstone, David Miller, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj. Among the 12 players, only David Miller has a base price of less than INR 2 Crore.

Cameron Green Misses Out From Final IPL Auction List 

Out of the 208 overseas players, three are from associate nations while their are 12 uncapped overseas players as well. Their are 318 uncapped Indian players and total of 81 players have opted for the highest base price - 2 Crore. A total of 204 slots are up for grabs and out of them 70 are for overseas players.

As far as capped players are concerned, 48 are Indians while 193 are overseas. However, along with Jofra Archer, Cameron Green has also missed out on the final list with concerns over his back injury that has ruled him out for six months. Overall, there would be plenty of star players up for grabs in the mega auction and the event will start at 12.30 PM local time and 3 PM IST.
