Injury jolt for India as Nitish Kumar Reddy ruled out of first three T20Is vs Australia

Even before a single delivery has been bowled, India has suffered a massive injury jolt as star all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the first three T20Is due to a neck spasm. He just recovered from a quadriceps injury sustained during the second ODI Vs Australia, but he complaint of neck pain, which has derailed his comeback.

Due to the quadriceps injury, he missed the ODI series finale in Sydney, but the all-rounder was expected to be back for the T20Is, his return has been pushed back. However, as per the BCCI medical team, Reddy is likely to be back for the final two T20I matches.

With no Hardik Pandya in the series, Nitish Reddy was expected to play a key role in the five-games vs Australia; however, he now sits on the sidelines as India have to make changes to their plans.

Nitish Reddy's injury list in his relatively short career

In a relatively short international career, the star Indian all-rounder has suffered numerous injuries. He made his debut after a stellar Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, and since then, he has had a serious knee injury due to which he was ruled out of the England tour. He sustained an injury to his left knee, and it hampered his maiden England tour.

In his first white-ball tour of Australia, the all-rounder suffered a quadriceps injury in the second ODI, and he was unable to participate in the series finale, which India won to salvage their pride.

Now, when the time came to shine in the T20Is, Nitish Reddy had a neck spasm which has ruled him out of the first three T20Is at-least.
